Replacing a 53 ft section of 10 ft dia. concrete kiln, weighing 75,000 lbs.

Client was initially quoted for removing the roof of the building and lifting the kiln from above with a crane. Western Mechanical revised this by using gantries, and carting the kiln sections through the 13 ft entrance.

Began with a site visit to take measurements, then modelled the site using Inventor and AutoCAD. 

Iteratively constructed a process due to extremely tight tolerances, minimizing process time by configuring equipment properly, bringing awareness to problems and interferences, and fabricating custom equipment for the job.
